While ALSC remains committed to providing high-quality legal aid, we are also concerned about the health and safety of our clients, staff and communities we serve. Accordingly, we are temporarily modifying how we deliver services to prevent the spread of COVID-19 where possible.
Effective immediately:
- We are available to handle your legal needs.
- To reduce the spread of the Coronavirus, we are limiting access to our offices.
- Lobbies are open but we encourage appointments.
- Masks are mandatory for staff and clients or visitors.
Please call the office nearest to you. The office locations and their phone numbers are further down on this page.
When you call, you will be asked to record a short message. Please leave your name, phone number, and a brief one or two-word description of what kind of help you need. Something like, “Unemployment, Eviction, Child Custody, Visitation Problem, Medicaid, SNAP or TANF assistance, etc.”. We will return your call to get more detail, provide referrals to the help you need, or give you advice and help with that problem. We will take as many new cases as we can reasonably handle. Leaving us a message does not necessarily mean we will accept your case or go to court with you. Most courts are closed for everything except extreme emergencies affecting personal safety. Most legal deadlines have been extended.
You will find answers to many of your questions here on our website. Click this link to see COVID-19 resources: http://suttjjh.thoughtsandbeyond.com/home/covid-19-legal-information-and-resources/
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
